Photography

I had the good fortune to marry a man who not only is an incredible husband and father, but also is a great photographer who has been quite generous with his wisdom and toys.

I still pause when asked what I do, managing to stammer "I'm a photographer".

I've been learning that as sexy as the gear can be... it's still the eye, composition, recognition of a moment worthy to be captured that makes one a photographer.  I say that not as a defense, but hopefully to empower anyone who wants to take photos.  Some of my favorite photos from the past have been with our old point and shoot.

Though, because I've been asked... here is what you'd find if you take a peek in my bag

Canon 5D Mark III body
Canon 50D body
Canon 20mm f/2.8 lens
Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens
Canon 85mm f1/8 lens
Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 lens
Canon 24-105 f/4 lens
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L lens
Canon 550EX flash
8gb memory cards, back-up batteries
random blue bandaid
Kiehls coconut flavored lip balm

I've become evangelical about shooting in raw and using manual mode.
Still clinging on to Photoshop Elements 8 and Lightroom 3 while I am learning Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4... on a used MacBook Pro.

There, have I bored you to tears yet :p?
